SCD Legal Foods

This is a list of SCD legal foods which you can include when following a vegetarian form of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.  If something is not on the list then it probably isn't allowed. Check the Legal/Illegal List on-line or Chapter 10 of Breaking the Vicious Cycle if you are not sure. I have starred certain items :


* may be tried after being on the diet for 6 months
* may be eaten occasionally
* make sure there is no sugar or additives added
* when free of symptoms
